If you are a new patient or are noticing some issues with your teeth, we would recommend a general check-up with one of our friendly dentists.
What is involved in a comprehensive examination?
At Wanaka Dental, we begin with a full examination of teeth and gums in order to create a custom treatment plan for your unique oral needs. Your check up will include digital x-rays to detect dental decay between the teeth, as well as an oral cancer screening and photos if needed. We will discuss your dental goals and give specific advice for optimum home care routines. After your dental exam we recommend seeing the dental hygienist for a cleaning before any restorative care commences. For most people we recommend 12 monthly examinations in some instances we would recommend more frequent visits.
